Nick Carraway has moved to West Egg and his new neighbor, Gatsby, has rousing parties full to the brim of of society's the cream of the crop. When Nick realizes that his cousin Daisy has a history with Gatsby, it's already too late to extricate himself.
This graphic adaption of Gatsby, the Roaring 20s are splashed over the page in bright and flowing watercolors. I loved how the symbolism is laid out for us and how the text of the novel is so creatively woven into the art itself. Gatsby is a novel of class and longing, a painful look at not seeing what we have because we're blinded by what we want. I really liked this fresh look at timeless classic.
