Kami may be small, but she's got high hopes of becoming an investigative journalist. And it just so happens that there is a mystery to solve in her own tiny English town - who are the Lynburns and why have they returned to their mansion on the hill? One mystery Kami cannot solve, however, is why there is a boy that lives in her thoughts - a boy who is clearly not imaginary but that she knows as well as she knows herself. When answers begin coming, they don't make life easier and soon Kami is in more danger than she'd imagined.
Oooo! Read this one in one plane flight! Kami is a superb character, snarky and witty - the banter in this book is so fun. The secondary characters are intriguing and the plot left me guessing. Yes, it's an obnoxiously cliff-hanger ending. Yes, it's paranormal young adult fare, and no it is not life changing in any way, but such a tasty treat that I must read the next one.
