War Through the Generations Challenge: WWII

How can I not join, when this is one of the periods of history that most interests me? Here's the down-low:

War Through the Generation’s very first reading challenge will be World War II. The challenge will run from January 1, 2009, to December 31, 2009.

Rules:

To participate in the WWII Reading Challenge, you must commit to reading at least five books throughout the year. We plan to read more than that, and feel free to do the same! The books can be fiction or non-fiction, and they can be about any aspect of WWII. WWII should be the primary or secondary theme, and it doesn’t matter whether the book takes place during the war or after the war.

SO. My goal is FIVE BOOKS - but I'm counting on reading more than that. I'll add to this list if new books come up in my world, but for now. FIVE it is. And here are the five:

1. In My Enemy's House by Carol Matas
2. Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay
3. Night of Flames by Douglas W. Jacobson
4. The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti
5. Davita's Harp by Chaim Potok

My brother is reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas right now and I already know I'm going to have to steal his copy! Enjoy the challenge!

Glad to have you on board for our challenge! That's a great reading list; I plan to read Sarah's Key as well.
