genre: contemporary romance
When disaster strikes at Rosie’s apartment, she knows her out-of-town best friend won’t mind if she crashes at her place for a few days. Turns out, though, that Rosie isn’t the only one who needs to use that place and when Spanish surfer Lucas shows up at the door - Rosie’s life gets turned upside down in more ways than one. It’s a romance novel, yes. All the tropes, yes. But told from two perspectives, which I liked. With some interesting enough backstory, which I liked too. Sometimes the “scenes” were a bit too over the top for me to believe but you can skip or not. It’s cotton candy but like the expensive kind. I can’t eat too much of it, but a little bit is fun :)
CW: it’s a romance novel, open door with language and innuendo too
