Meet Cute by Helena Hunting

 genre: contemporary romance

Kailyn has had a crush on Dax since she watched him on tv when she was a teenager, so when she meets him in law school, you’d think it would be a dream come true.  Except, it’s not.  And by the time she’s out of law school and working for a top law firm, Kailyn has more than one reason to hate Dax’s guts.  She’d be happy to never see him again but then he shows up in her office with her parents and little sister to set up a trust.  This meeting, and the tragedy that happens after, are going to change the tragedy of Kailyn's life - a life that is going to have WAY more of Dax in it than she would have EVER chosen.

Okay, okay.  It's absolutely a romance novel but it's got some law stuff in it and some fangirl love in it and some fairly deep emotional trauma to unpack.  It's cheesy and predictable and to be honest, I sorta hate the cheesy graphic sex talk. It just doesn't feel realistic to me.  I also felt a little frustrated with the ending but I needed me some fluffy romance right now and I read it in two days so I guess it gave me exactly what I figured it would.
