genre: middle grade paranormal
This is book 2 of the Lockwood & Co. Series.
We are back with Lucy, George and Anthony. Although they have established themselves as a capable investigative team after having survived their previous adventures, they still aren't getting the really GOOD cases - or if they do, they are bumbling them somehow. When an excavator shows up needing them to just solve a little problem at a gravesite, a small job turns into a big mystery - one that becomes increasingly complicated as an obnoxious competitor gets involved as well as a dark artifact that has a trail of death it's left behind.
So, I am loving reading (listening :) these through like one long book. I love having Lucy as my narrator - I love the skills she's developing. I like the spooky ghosty plot. I like the snarky skull in a jar. I really liked the cliffhanger ending that's making me want to start the third book right away. Good stuff. GREAT October listening.
