The Night She Disappeared Lisa Jewell

 genre: thriller/mystery

When Kim’s daughter, Tallulah and her boyfriend Zach leave their baby boy with her while they have an evening out, she’s happy to help. Except they don’t come home that night. Or the next day. Tallulah and Zac never come home and Kim is left to pick up the pieces. About a year later, a new headmaster and his novelist partner, Sophie, move into the village and it’s not long before there is a new mystery: a little cardboard sign that says “dig here” out in the woods. If Sophie digs, what will she find?

Ok, this one was pretty gripping. I was engaged in the mystery from the start and I loved how it moved both back and forth in time and between Kim’s and Tallulah’s and Sophie’s storylines. I didn’t guess the ah-ha moment and the storyline really kept me guessing. There are a couple plot holes but it was still a good cozy-up-in-October mystery for me.
